The Boys Basketball team was going for a feat that had not been achieved for 41 seasons on Tuesday night. The Eagles looked to complete the first perfect regular season at home since the 1978-1979 season when they hosted Bremen in the Northern Indiana Conference game.
After a slow start in the first few minutes of the games, the Eagles went on to dominate the Lions, blowing Bremen out with a final score of 74-29.
It was a total team effort for the Eagles in their victory as 10 players scored in the game. Sydney Jefferies led the way for the team and in the game as he scored 17 points. Quentez Columbus scored 14 points, Lynn King had 11 points, Brayden Saxton scored 8 points, Kyrin McClatchey made 7 points, Chuck Worsham and TeVaughn Columbus both scored 5 points, Jessie Morgan made 4 points, Matt Anella scored 2 points, and Harry Jeffers scored 1 point.
The three ball also favored Adams as Q Columbus hit two and King, Jefferies, and McClatchey all hit one.
On the defensive side of the ball, Adams was able to capitalize off of the 18 turnovers that they forced on the Lions.
Adams closed out its final home game of the season with a record of 10-0 at home. The Eagles will play their final two regular season games on the road and will close out the season and NIC action at New Prairie on February 28.
Adams is 18-3 overall and 10-0 in the NIC. Adams plays on the road on Friday when they take on crosstown rival SB Riley.
