The Boys Track and Field team was back in action for the first time this season and looking for redemption from last season on Saturday morning when the Eagles traveled to compete in the Trine Hoosier State Relays Qualifier.
The meet was an unscored meet, and participants were trying to qualify to the Hoosier State Relays finals later in March based off of their performances. The top 24 track, long jump, and shot put and top 18 in high jump and pole vault will qualify for the unofficial indoor state meet. Adams competes in the large school division.
The distance trio of William Neubauer, Sami Mirza, and Grayson Wilson opened up competition for the Eagles in the 3200 Run. Neubauer had an impressive finish with a time of 10:20.53. Mirza finished his race in 11:20.72. In the next heat Wilson finished in a time of 11:45.47.
The next event for Adams on the track, the 60 Dash was run by David Smith and Tabreon Johnson. Smith finished in 7.42 and Johnson in 7.83.
The 4×800 Relay of Dylan Hockx, Alex Blade, Abdul Hussein, and Juelz Wright finished in a time of 9:23.85.
Smith, Teo Reimbold Thomas, Isaac Lee, and Isaac Pantoja finished with a team time of 3:46.27 in the 4×400 Relay.
Adams also had a few performances in the field events as well. Trevon Williams jump to a distance of 16’10” in the long jump. In high jump, Vamoni Stubbs jumped 5’6”. In shot put, Alex Harman had a toss of 39’0”.

The Eagles will have another attempt at qualifying for the HSR Finals next weekend when they run at the Indiana Wesleyan HSR Qualifier next Saturday.
