Nick K Muraya
John Adams Athletics is recognizing all of its outstanding Senior Student Athletes for their outstanding work in athletics, the classroom, and their amazing leadership.
What was your favorite memory at John Adams?
My favorite memory of John Adams was the journey to find myself and getting the chance to form lifelong friendships along the way.
Did you have a pregame ritual?
My pregame ritual was listening to my spotify playlist during the bus ride. It always made the pregame nerves go away.
What is one thing that you had to have in your bag before you got on the bus?
My kicking tee. I always made sure we had one before we left. I bought a backup just in case we lost the main one.
What position(s) do you play?
Kicker and kickoff specialist.
What was your inspiration or who inspired you to compete?
Isaac Pantoja was my inspiration. He helped me throughout my senior year and he is the main reason I’m playing football in the first place.
What is your favorite quote related to athletics
“There is no substitute for work” – Vince Lombardi
Advice for underclassmen and your teammates?
Keep pushing forward, no matter how hard it gets.
What message would you like to send to the John Adams community and fans?
Thanks for all the support throughout the season. I know we didn’t have a great season this year but that’s behind us. Looking forward to seeing everyone back.
What are your future plans?
Future plans are to play football in college and get good grades. Also I need to get a job.
Who would you like to thank or recognize?
I would like to thank and recognize all the football coaches and the whole team. Special thanks to my holders Miguel, Ryan Downey and Sydney. Would also like to thank Ms.Brady for giving me the opportunity to become a library aid and thanks to all the teachers and friends for being awesome.
Congratulations Nick and best of luck!
