What was your favorite memory at John Adams?

My favorite memory at John Adams was my first day at the school and I didn’t know how to speak English.

Did you have a pre match ritual?

My per-match ritual is to pray to God, because that gave me the spirits to win the game

What is one thing that you had to have in your bag before you got on the bus?

The one thing that I had to have in my bag before I got on the bus is my iPhone charger.

What weight did you wrestle?

My weight class is 135.

What was your inspiration or who inspired you to compete?

The one who inspired me to compete is God, because he gave everything I wanted to him, and I began to show people how God is greater through my competitors.

What is your favorite quote related to athletics

“Play your game until you finish”

Advice for underclassmen and your teammates?

Run to meet your dream, it won’t come to and don’t forget that the run can be very long, if you’re ready for a hard and hard run in a long life, it’s time for you to start, or at some point in your life, you will meet a opponent who is ahead of you, not because he is better than you, but simply because he started before you. Don’t waste time, it’s time to act.

What message would you like to send to the John Adams community and fans?

Thank you for all the support you have provided us during the past four years

What are your future plans?

My future plan is to attend Holy Cross to study English communication.

Who would you like to thank or recognize?

I want to thank my mother for all the moral and spiritual support she has given me during the past years, and finally I would like to thank God for everything he gave me until I got to this place

Message from Head Wrestling Coach Andre Scruggs

Momael is an aggressive wrestler on the mat who stuck things out even when times were very tough for him.
