Boys Junior Varsity Tennis, Boys Varsity Tennis · Boys Tennis Swept by Penn

The scheduled matchup between the Boys Tennis team and the Penn Kingsmen earlier in the season was rained out, and the two teams rescheduled to play on Thursday at Penn HS.

The eagles however were unable to win throughout the night, and fell to the Kingsmen 0-5.

At #1 Singles, Ben Guerrero battled hard but fell in two sets 4-6, 3-6. Marty Stoner and Forest Wallace also fell at #2 and 3 Singles respectively. Stoner fell with scores of 0-6, 2-6 and Wallace 0-6, 2-6.

Vian Mariani and Michael Mazurek fought hard with the Kingsmen, and the competition between the two teams was probably the best of the night on the courts. Mariani and Mazurek won the first set in a close match but edged out their competition 7-5. The duo fought hard again in the second set, and in a close set as well, fell 5-7. The third and final set was lost by Adams 1-6.

Jacob Lutz and Duncan Thompson also lost playing at #2 Doubles with scores of 1-6, 1-6.

The Junior Varsity team also lost with a team score of 3-1. Winning for Adams were the doubles teams of Jonah Gezelter/ Sam Troxel, Augie Perugini/ Casey Zielke, and Owen Kohler / Sam Berbitsky.
