The postseason has arrived for the Adams Boys Cross Country team, and the opportunity to race themselves throughout the tournament began on Saturday morning at Erskine Park Golf Course in the IHSAA Sectional.
On the near perfect fall morning, the Eagles finished in 4th place with a score of 87 on the rolling course.
The top 5 teams in the race and the next 10 individuals from advancing teams move on to the Regional next week.
Will Neubauer got out to a strong start through the first half of the race. Neubauer was in the lead pack, with all the runners vying to be the individual Sectional Champion. Neuabuer would eventually end the race as the 3rd place finisher, crossing the finish line in a time of 16:54.
The next trio of Eagles runners ran down the large finishing hill right with each other. Alexander Macharaschwili was 18th in 18:01 and Dylan Hockx and Michael Camileri finished neck and neck, with Hockx finishing in 19th place in 18:04.27 and Camileri in 20th in 18:04.82.
Bol Agwick finished the race in 18:31 which was good for 27th place. Sam Stanton was 34th in 18:52 and Jack Rancourt was 42nd in 19:15.
Adams finished strong to advance to the Regional next week at Oxbow Park.
