The Girls Swimming and Diving team was able to start the Thanksgiving Break with a nice win on the road after defeating SB Riley on Tuesday night. The win, the team’s third of the season, makes the Lady Eagles perfect for the season and perfect in the Northern Indiana Conference.
Adams defeated Riley with a score of 113-70.
Not only did the 10 event wins propel Adams to victory, but so did the depth of the very talented team.
Adams got the night going with a win in the 200 Medley Relay swam by Cecilia Frazee, Elizabeth Linarello, Ivie Skube, and Addison Skube. Adams also finished 3rd and 4th in the relay as well.
Adele Zyniewicz took first in the 200 Individual Medley. Daniella Morales-Garibay was 4th and Linarello 6th.
Adams swept in Diving, with Lindsay Gizzi finishing first, Kaley Corban second, and Avery Curtis third.
Lyza Kricheff was the winner of the 100 Fly. Melany Morales-Garibay was 4th and I Skube was 5th.
Zyniewicz won again in the 100 Free. C Frazee and A Skube were third and fourth respectively.
In the 500 Free Elisa Nerenberg took first place while Adelyn Rabbitt was fifth.
The 200 Free relay of Sofia Frazee, A Skube, C Frazee, and Rabbit took first place. The Lady Eagles also finished third and fourth in the relay.
Kricheff repeated as a winner in the 100 Backstroke. Nerenberg and C Frazee finished third and fourth.
In the 100 Breaststroke, S Frazee took first, Linarello was second, and D Morales Garibay took fourth.
Finally in the 400 Free Relay, Adams took the win with Zyniewicz, Kriceff, Nerenberg, and M Morales Garibay making up the winning team. Adams also took fourth and fifth in the relay as well.
Also placing in the meet was the 3-4-5 finish of Rabbitt, M Morales Garibay, and Daisy Maciel in the 200 Freestyle, and S Frazee, A Skube, and Ayva Rainwater with a 2-3-5 finish in the 50 Free.
Adams will swim next on Tuesday December 1 when they host Bremen.
