The Girls Swim and Dive team competed in their final dual meet of the season on Tuesday night by hosting Northern Indiana Conference opponent Penn. The Lady Eagles fell to the Kingsmen with a final score of 53-133.
Adams had one event winner in the meet. Lindsay Gizzi was the winner in Diving, taking first with a score of 272.75. Also in Diving, Katie Hensell finished in second with a score of 215.85 and Avery Curtis was fifth with 151.40.
There were many other impressive and at times close finishes throughout the meet. In the 200 Medley relay, the eagles team of Lyza Kricheff, Elisa Nerenberg, Adely Zyniewicz, and Addison Skube took second in a time of 2:00.47. Swimming 2:11.95 to take fifth was Adelyn Rabbitt, Elizabeth Linarello, Ivie Skube, and Daniella Morales-Garibay.
Nerenberg took third in the 200 Free in 2:10.33. Yvette Burton was fifth in 2:20.02 and Ciara Humeston was sixth in 2:20.59.
Kricheff finished in third place in 2:28.18 in the 200 Individual Medley. Morales Garibay was fifth in 2:41.70 and Lily Chhuon swam 2:56.77 to take sixth.
In a close finish, Zyniewicz finished in second in the 50 Free with a time of 24.44. A Skube was fifth in 28.82, and I Skube was sixth in 30.50
Zyniewicz was also the runner up in the 100 Fly, swimming a time of 58.38. I Skube was fifth in 1:14.32 and just behind was Humeston in sixth in 1:14.47.
Finishing fourth in the 100 Free was Burton, who finished in a time of 1:01.99. A Skube took fifth in 1:04.32 and Linarello was sixth in 1:08.72.
Rabbitt took fourth in the 500 Free, swimming a time of 6:15.60. Olivia Thompson was fifth in 6:37.17 and swimming 6:47.26 which was good for sixth palace was Ayva Rainwater.
The relay consisting of Zyniewicz, Burton, Kricheff, and A Skube was the runner up in the 200 Free Relay. The team swam a time of 1:48.61. I Skube, Thompson, Linarello, and Humeston took fifth in 2:04.5
In the 100 Backstroke, Rabbitt finished in third with a time of 1:08.57. Morales Garibay was fifth with a time of 1:10.42, and swimming 1:13.82 was Kricheff who took sixth place.
Nerenberg finished third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:17.86. Linarello was fifth in 1:26.66 and Chhuon was sixth in 1:27.89.
In the last event of the evening, Burton, Rabbitt, Humeston, and Nerenberg finished in third place in the 400 Free Relay in 4:12.91. Finishing in fourth place was Morales Garibay, Rainwater, Thompson, and Chhon with a time of 4:39.91.
Adams closes out the regular season with a record of 7-2. Adams will swim again on Saturday when they compete in the Northern Indiana Conference Championship Meet.
