Fresh of their win on Senior Night the night before, the Boys basketball team traveled to Gary to take on Gary 21st century School in non conference play. The Eagles looked to remain perfect for the season, and maintained that perfect record with a final score of 67-47.
Adams got out to a strong start, opening up a 42-18 lead at the half. Adams maintained the lead as they worked their way to their 12th victory of the season.
Braydon Saxton led the way for Adams in scoring. Saxton ended the night with 16 points. Lynn King was next for Adams, scoring 13 points. Quentez Columbus, Sidney Jefferies, and Jessie Morgan all scored 10 points each. Eight of Jefferies’ points came from the free throw line where he went 8 for 11. Tommy Snider scored 4 points, and Chuck Worsham and Harry Jeffers both scored 2 points each.
The Junior Varsity team won as well 76-29. Amari Wesson scored 21 points, Brittain Vann had 11 points, and Jeremiah Love and Rashad Simpson both scored 10 points in the win.
The Eagles stay perfect at 12-0 overall for the season and will play next on Saturday when they host Chesterton.
