Hadaway’s Shack was full of action on Friday night as the Boys Basketball team hosted long time rival SB Washington. In the 128th edition of the rivalry, the play on the floor and performance of the Eagles did not disappoint. Adams won big on Senior Night with a final score of 80-56.
Adams got out to a strong start opening up a slight lead over the Panthers and holding it through the half. It was the third quarter where Adams took command of the game. The Eagles outscored Washington 28-9 in the quarter and then cruised to the final victory.
Sidney Jefferies was the leading scorer for the Eagles in the game. Jefferies finished the night with 18 points, helped with a strong performance from the free throw line, going 6 for 9. Brayden Saxton and Lynn King both had an impressive performance with each scoring 14 points each. Quentez Columbus scored 11 points, Chuck Worsham scored 9 points, Harry Jeffers scored 5 points, Gion Parks scored 4 points, Jessie Morgan scored 3 points, and Tommie Hunt scored 2 points.
Prior to the start of the game, Adams celebrated Senior Night, honoring the hard work of Quentez Columbus, Sidney Jefferies, HarryJeffers, Lynn King, Kyrin McClatchey, Jessie Morgan, Brayden Saxton, Chuck Worsham, and managers Marcus Bowens and Marius Toffolutti.
The Junior Varsity team also defeated the Panthers, winning with a score of 60-34. Britain Vann scored 18 points, Amari Wesson scored 12 points, and Rashad Simpson had 11 points.
Adams remains perfect for the year with a record of 11-0 overall and 5-0 in the Northern Indiana Conference.
