The championship portion of the season has arrived for the Boys Swim and Dive team. The Eagles opened the first leg of that journey on Saturday competing in the South Bend City Meet. The young and growing Adams team finished in 3rd place overall with a final score of 248.
Andre Bowman, Isaac Shrader, Donovan Go, and Zach Richardson got things going in the meet with a 4th place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. The team finished with a time of 2:00.67.
Miguel Sanchez Castaneda finished in 4th in the 200 Free, swimming a time of 2:04.12.
Go finished in 6th in the 200 Individual Medley in a time of 2:26.10. Sharder was 9th with a time of 2:37.49.
In the 50 Free, Felipe Jauregui took 10th place in 30.18 and Marko Lazarevic took 14th in 33.87.
Go finished 7th with a time of 1:05.83, and swimming 1:11.74 was Richardson, good for 8th place in the 100 Butterfly.
In the 100 Free, Bowman swam to a 5th palace finish in 55.68 and Jauregui finished tied for 11th in 1:07.22.
Sanchez Castaneda swam the 500 Free in a time of 5:45.22 which earned him a 4th place finish.
The relay consisting of Jauregui, Lazarevic, Sanchez Castaneda, and Richardson finished in 6th in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:58.36.
In the 100 Backstroke, Bowman finished in 4th in 1:07.65.
Shrader finished in 9th in the 100 Breaststroke in 1:20.50. Richardson took 11th place in 1:24.29 and Lazarevic was 12th in 1:38.26.
To finish the afternoon, Adams took 4th in the 400 Free Relay. The team of Bowman, Sanchez Castaneda, Go, and Shrader finished in 4th in 4:08.19.
The Eagles have one final dual meet on Tuesday when they host SB Riley.
