Boys Varsity Swimming · Boys Swimming Ends Regular Season with Loss


The Boys Swimming team closed out the 2020-2021 regular season on Tuesday night with a dual meet against SB Riley in Northern Indiana Conference action. The young Adams team lost the Wildcats with a final score of 41-136.

Adams had one individual victory in the pool. Miguel Sanchez Castaneda out-swam all the competition to win the 500 Free, taking first place in 5:41.05. Sanchez Castaneda also had a runner up finish in the 200 Free, finishing in second place in a time of 2:04.82.

The 200 Medley relay consisting of Donovan Go, Marko Lazarevic, Felipe Jauregui, and Zach Richardson took third place with a time of 2:19.52.

Go finished 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley in 2:24.48 and Isaac Shrader was 5th in 2:33.83.

Richardson swam to third place in the 50 Free in 28.91. Jauregui was 5th in 32.15 and swimming 32.96 was Lazarevic which was good for 6th.

In the 100 Butterfly, Go finished 3rd place in 1:04.33 and Jauregui finished 5th in 1:38.07.

Andre Bowman swam to a second place finish in the 100 Free, swimming a time of 55.56. Richardson took 4th place in 1:01.82. Bowman was also the runner up in the 100 Backstroke as well in 1:07.83.

The relay of Shrader, Richardson, Jauregui, and Lazarevic finished 3rd in 2:01.19 in the 200 Free Relay.

Shrader finished 4th in the 100 Breaststroke and Lazarevic was 5th in 1:42.68.

The 400 Free Relay of Sanchez Castaneda, Go, Bowman, and Shrader finished in 3rd with a time of 4:10.38

Adams will swim next on Saturday when they compete in the Northern Indiana Conference Championship Meet.
