The Girls Basketball team was on the road on Tuesday night in Northern Indiana Conference action. The Lady Eagles attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter but narrowly lost to the Lions with a final score of 42-46.
Adams trailed Bremen for much of the game, but the Eagles would not give up. During the fourth quarter, behind a strong defensive effort, the Adams offense was able to mount a comeback, closing the gap between the two teams. Adams came up just short after outsourcing the Lions 19-8 in the final minutes of play and lost the game by just 4 points.
Marissa Shelton was the leading scorer for Adams in the game. Shelton, scoring 4 three point shots and going 2 for 3 on free throws ended the night with 20 points.
Jayne Kelly scored 7 points for Adams, including going 3 for 4 from the free throw line. Lazia Walker scored 6 points, Laila Williams scored 4 points. And Valiyah Grundy, Whitney Marshall, and Makiah McCain all scored 2 points each.
Adams will be back in action on Saturday when they host Chesterton in non conference play.
