The race for control of the Northern Indiana Conference is in its final month and the Boys Basketball team cleared another hurdle on Friday night, winning on the road against John Glenn. Adams defeated the Falcons 64-47.
Adams got out strong, opening up a 10 point lead in the first 8 minutes of play. The Eagles maintained that lead through the half, and had to play strong defense in the second half as the pesky Falcons would not let up. During the fourth quarter, Adams was able to put the game away to stay perfect for the season.
Three Adams players led the way in scoring for the game. Brayden Saxton was the top scorer, ending the night with 16 points. Both Lynn Ling and Sidney Jefferies scored 14 points each. Quentez Columbus and Jessie Morgan each scored 9 points each and Chuck Worsham scored 2 points.
The Junior Varsity team won as well with a score of 55-50. Rashad Simpson scored 17 points and Mancell Hill scored 10 points.
Adams stayed perfect with the win in the NIC with a record of 7-0.
