The Boys Basketball team hosted non conference opponent Michigan City for a Saturday matinee game. Behind a strong effort in the second half, the Eagles were able to get the win over the Wolves 67-49.
Adams got off to a slow start, and Michigan City built up a quick lead on the Eagles. For the entire half, Adams trailed Wolves, including a 2 point deficit at halftime. Once the game resumed for the third quarter however, a new team for the Eagles hit the floor, taking command of the game on both sides of the ball, shutting down the Wolves and outsourcing Michigan City 33-9 in the third quarter alone. With a strong finish, Adams would close out the game for a win.
Chuck Worsham was the leading scorer in the game, finishing the afternoon with 17 points. Worsham was helped with an effort of 15 points each from Lynn King and Quentez Columbus.
Brayden Saxton, Tommy Snyder, and Sidney Jefferies all had 6 points each and Harry Jeffers scored 2 points.
The Junior Varsity team won as well, winning 58-49. Jeremiah Love scored 13 points for the Eagles while Rashad Simpson scored 12 points and Mancell Hill scored 10 points.
Adams improves to 17-1 overall. The Eagles will play again on Tuesday night in Northern Indiana Conference action at Penn HS.
