Boys Varsity Swimming · Boys Swimming Finishes 8th at IHSAA Sectional Finals

The Boys Swimming season came to an end on Saturday at the IHSAA Sectional Finals at Penn High School. The Eagles capped off the season with an 8th p[lace finish with 98 points.

Coming off of a strong performance in the prelims on Thursday night, many of the young Adams swimmers bested their performances and swam some of their best times of the season.

To start things off, the 200 Medley Relay consisting of Andre Bowman, Isaac Shrader, Donovan Go, and Zach Richardson swam to a 7th place finish. The team swam a time of 1:58.36.

Miguel Sanchez Castaneda finished 13th in the 200 Freestyle, finishing in 1:59.00.

Go finished 13th in the 200 Individual Medley, swimming 2:20.00 while Shrader finished in 16th in 2:33.09.

In the 100 Fly, Go swam to a 12th place finish in 1:02.74.

Bowman finished in 12th in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 54.43.

In the 500 Freestyle, Sanchez Castaneda finished in 11th place after swimming 5:27.01.

The team of Shrader, Marko Lazarevic, Felipe Jauregui, and Sanchez Castaneda took 8th place in the 200 Free Relay in 1:51.93.

In the 100 Backstroke, Bowman swam 1:03.78 which earned him a 12th place finish.

Finally, in the 400 Free Relay, Sanchez Castaneda, Go, Richardson, and Bowman swam a team time of 3:45.09, which earned the Eagles an 8th place finish.
