Boys Varsity Soccer · Lupe Gonzalez Signs With Holy Cross

John Adams Senior student athlete Lupe Gonzalez signed his letter of intent to continue his educational and academic career next year at Holy Cross College. Lupe plans to become a member of the Saints Soccer program coached by Omar Gallo. Lupe is not sure of his intended major yet but is interested in both Biology and Economics. Lupe chose Holy Cross because he has several friends at the school and has heard many good things about the school. He also likes the diversity and small feeling of classes that he hopes to take advantage of. Finally he is excited about the competitive soccer program that he wants to be a part of that will help him grow as a person and as an athlete.

While at John Adams, Lupe has been an active member of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, named Academic All Conference, and ISCA Academic All State. He has many memories and one of them that he will never forget was being a member of the varsity soccer team and learning a lot from the coaches and his teammates.

Lupe was joined by several members of his family including his parents and siblings. He would like to thank all of his coaches especially Coach Mihut for being a great coach and an even better person.he has learned a lot from Coach Mihut and he is the best coach he has ever played for. He wants to also thank his teammates for everything, especially making soccer so much fun. He also wants to give shout outs to Mrs Miller and Mr Alvarez for encouraging him to go to college and for helping him with everything over the last four years. Finally he wants to thank his parents and friends for supporting and believing in him and everything that he does.

Congratulations Lupe and best of luck next year at Holy Cross!
