Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track and Field Competes Well Against Elkhart


The Boys Track & Field team ran in their first Northern Indiana Conference meet of the season on Tuesday, taking on the Elkhart Lions at Rice Field. The Eagles stepped up to take on the Lions and lost with a final score of 46-85.

Adams ran well, especially with 6 first place finishes. Two individuals were part of all of those wins. Tommie Hunt won two individual events, taking first in both the Long Jump and High Jump. Hunt won in the Long Jump with a leap of 20’3” and repeated as champ in the High Jump after clearing 5’10”. William Neuabuer won 3 individual events and was a part of a winning relay as well. Neuabuer swept the 1600, 800 and 3200 winning the events in 4:42, 2:05, and 10:25 respectively. He was joined by Alexander Macaraschwili, Dylan Hockx, and Bol Agwick in the 4×800 Relay to take first in 8:32.63.

The Eagles also took runner up spots in five events as well. Hockx was the runner up in the 1600 in 4:42 and the 3200 in 10:31. Eric Derr was runner up in the Pole Vault with a jump of 8’6”. In Discus, River Thornsberry was second with a throw of 135’0”. The 4×400 Relay also took second with Macaraschwili, Will Favorite, B Agwick, and Marko Lazarevic running 3:48.29.

There were also many other finishing performances from Adams as well. In the 100 Dash – Hunt (11.65), Sam Nashel (12.57), Artis Kaomisay (13.01), Isaac Shrader (14.73). In the 1600 – Michael Camilleri (5:04), Grayson Wilson (5:05), Sam Stanton (5:38), Isaac Howk (5:40), Cole Evans (5:41), Jonas Larson (5:43), and Joey Geels (6:24). In the 800 Run – Stanton (2:28), Larsen (2:35), and Felipe Jauregui (2:39). In the 200 Dash – Hunt (23.30), Joseph Mcleod (24.36) Lazarevic (25.40), Ethan Schelstrate (26.69), Kaomisay (26.70). In the 3200 – Evans (12:35) and Geels (14:16). In Discus – Cesar Cervera (131’8”), Alex Harman (126’4”), Evan Adams (88’1”), Payton Kedik (86’0”), Mcleod (74’2”), and Aaron Garcia (59’1”) IN Shot Put – Harman (38’1”), Thorsnberry (36’3”), Cervera (35’6”), Adams (33’3”), Kedik (32’), Mcleod (30’5”), Garcia (25’4”). In High Jump – Favorite 5’3”

Adams will run again on Saturday at the Marion Relays
