It turned out to be a good day for the Boys Track & Field team on Saturday competing at the 70th Marion Relays, one of the longest running track events in the state. Overall as a team, the Eagles did well, finishing in 4th place overall with a score of 61.
The highlight of the day came from Will Neubauer who was named the relay’s Most Valuable Runner. Neuabuer was the winner of two relays, the 1600 Run, and took third in the 3200 Run. To start the meet off, Neubauer was joined by Dylan Hockx, Ngor Agwick, and Alex Macharaschwili to take first place where Neubauer came from behind to win in 10:51.55. Later in the 1600, Neubauer got out front to take and hold onto the lead, winning in 4:32.08. In the 4×800, Macharaschwili, Hockx, Bol Agwick, and Neubauer took first again in 8:32.46. TO end his day, Neubauer placed 3rd in the 3200 Run with a finishing time of 10:28.32.
Also placing in the 1600 and 3200 was Hockx, who was 6th in the 1600 in 4:44.30 and 7th in the 3200 in 11:05.77.
The Sprint Medley Relay (100-100-200-400) took 8th place. The team of Marko Lazarevic, Joseph Mcleod, Ethan Schelstraete, and Will Favorite ran a time of 1:48.29.
Lazarevic, Mcleod, Sam Nashel and Schelstraete ran a time of 48.93 in the 4×100 which earned them a 7th place finish.
The 4×400 Relay of Tommie Hunt, B Agwick, N Agwick, and Macharashvili finished in 5th place with a time of 3:40.50.
In the field, Hunt also placed in the Long Jump, taking 9th with a leap of 18’4”.
In Discus, River Thornsberry had a third place finish with a throw of 133’1” Cesar Cervera threw 121’4” which earned him 6th place.
In Shot Put, Alex Harman finished 6th place with a toss of 37’7”. Thornsberry was 13th with a throw of 33’9”.
Eric Deer finished in 8th place in the Pole Vault with a jump of 8’6”.

Adams will run again on Thursday in a Northern Indiana Conference dual meet against Penn HS
