Bragging rights were on the line on Thursday night in South Bend, as the Boys Track and Field team competed in the South Bend City Meet at St Joseph High School. It was a hard run meet for the Eagles, and the team was in the hunt for the title for much of the evening, but Adams ended up finishing in 2nd place with a team score of 151 points.
Adams did have wins in both the distance events and in the field.
For the distance events, William Neubauer was involved in four first place finishes. The first came in the 4×800 Relay which opened up the night. Neubauer was joined by Alex Macharaschwili, Dylan Hockx, and Ngor Agwick to win in a team time of 8:29.90. Neubauer also came back to win three individual events as well. Neubauer won the 1600 Run in 4:42.62. He repeated as champion again in the 800 Run, pushed on to finish in 2:00.42. The final win for Neubauer came near the end of the meet in the 3200 Run, winning in 10:18.71.
Out in the field, the Eagles had two champions as well. Alex Harman had a throw of 132’2” in the Discus to take the top spot. Tommie Hunt also won the crown in the High Jump with a leap of 5’8”.
It took a total team effort for the Eagles with many impressive finishes throughout the night that was perfect for a track meet.
Hunt finished as the runner up in both the 100 Dash and the 200 Dash. Hunt finished 11.76 in the 100 and a close finish of 23.60 in the 200.
Macharaschwili was not far behind Neubauer in the 800 Dash to finish as the runner up with a time of 2:00.81. Grayson Wilson was 5th in 2:10.85.
Hockx had two runner up spots in the 1600 and the 3200. Hockx ran a time of 4:43.10 in the 1600 and 10:18.75 in the 3200. Michael Camilleri joined in, finishing 6th in the 1600 in 4:54.91 and completed the sweep in the 3200 to take 3rd place in 10:35.13.
Adams also swept in the Discus joining Harman’s top spot. Cesar Cervera was second with a throw of 122’7” and River Thornsberry was 3rd with 120’0”
Sam Nashel finished 4th in the 110 Hurdles in 18.58. Nashel came back in the 300 Hurdles to take 7th palace in 50.27 and Ethan Schelstraete was 10th in 53.27.
In the 400 dash, Will favorite finished in 6th in 55.39, Bol Agwick swas 7th in 56.16, while N Agwick was 11th in 1:02.36.
Favorite also took 3rd place in the High Jump with a jump of 5’6” and 9th in the Long Jump with a leap of 17’0.5”.
Eric Derr finished in 4th place in the Pole vault after clearing 8’6” Nashel was 6th with a jump of 8’0”
Thorsnberry took 5th place in Shot Put with a throw of 37’8”. Cervera was 7th with 37’4” and Harman was 8th with 36’10.5”
The 4×100 relay of Marko Lazarevic, Joseph Mcleod, Nashel and Schelstraete finished in 4th place after going 48.66.
Finally to close out the night, Macharaschwili, Favorite, Lazarevic, and B Agwick finished in 3rd place with a time of 3:39.71.

The Eagles will compete again on Tuesday night in the final NIC dual meet of the season at Sb Riley.
