Welcome to the John Adams Athletic Community!
If you are a student athlete interested in participating this year there are a few steps you need to take prior to any conditioning sessions, practices, or open facilities.
IMPORTANT NEWS AND UPDATES FOR 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR!
Student athletes who had an IHSAA Physical completed and on file during the 2019-2020 school year will be able to use those physicals for the 2020-2021 school year ONLY if they are able to answer NO to all questions on the required 2020 IHSAA Release Form. Once again, the IHSAA Physical from last year will only be valid if a student athlete can answer NO to all 7 questions.
This form must be signed and submitted BEFORE any student athlete will be allowed to begin training and conditioning programs on July 6.
If a student athlete answers yes to any of the questions, they will need to submit a new IHSAA Pre Participation Examination before they will be allowed to train and condition with their teams.
The IHSAA Release form can be found here IHSAA Release Form 2020
In the coming weeks, this form will be posted on our new Eventlink Registration (replacing Family ID), but we wanted to share this information with all of our families before that so they can plan accordingly.
Incoming 9th graders will be allowed to use their physical forms from 8th Grade if it was completed on an IHSAA Physical form and complete the IHSAA release form as well. If a physical for 8th grade was not done on an IHSAA form, you will need to complete a new Physical.
If you do need a new physical form for the 2020-2021 school year, plan ahead now! Do not wait and try to get a physical scheduled with your doctor ASAP!
- IHSAA Pre Participation Physical
All student athletes must have a physical on file in the Athletic Office. A copy can be picked up in the Athletic Office, downloaded from the IHSAA, and can also be found here
