The 2018-2019 Northern Indiana Conference All Conference Roster has been announced for Wrestling in the past week. The John Adams Eagles had one wrestler who was named All Conference this year. Thomas and Phillips Advance to Wrestling Semi State

Four wrestlers from John Adams competed today at the IHSAA Regional hosted at Penn High School. The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the Semi State. Dominique Clark competed in the 152 weight class and Camden Hanks wrestled in the 170 weight class. Both Clark and Hanks lost in their opening matches

Wrestling Finishes 5th at Sectionals; Four Advance to Regional

The IHSAA Wrestling Tournament began on Saturday at Mishawaka High School with the Eagles competing in Sectionals. As a team, the Eagles finished in 5th place with 97 points. Four individuals will also advance to next week’s Regional at Penn High School. The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the next round.

Wrestling Sectional Information

The 81st Annual IHSAA Wrestling Tournament begins on Saturday January 26 with the Sectional Meet. The John Adams Eagles will compete in the Mishawaka Sectional hosted by Mishawaka High School. Teams competing in the Sectional are Mishawaka, Mishawaka Marian, Penn, SB Adams, SB Clay, SB Riley, SB St Joseph, and SB Washington. The top 4

Wrestling Finishes 10th at Conference; Thomas NIC Champ

The snow was falling outside on Saturday but the action was hot inside Mishawaka High School as the wrestling teams from the Northern Indiana Conference competed for the NIC Championship. The Adams wrestling team had wrestlers in 8 of the 14 weight classes. As a team the Eagles finishes in 10th place with 59 points.

Jonathan Thomas Finishes 4th at Al Smith Invitational

Jonathan Thomas advanced to the final day of the Al Smith Invitational over the weekend. Wrestling at the 220 pound weight class, Thomas finished the weekend 5-2, ending up in 4th place. On the first day of the tournament, Thomas went 3-1. In the first round Thomas won by major decision 15-3. In Round 2

Wrestling Competes in Day 1 of Al Smith Invitational

It is one of the largest high school wrestling events outside of the IHSAA State Finals, and the John Adams wrestling team competed in the 42nd Al Smith Invitational beginning on Friday. The tournament features many of the top teams and individuals from throughout the state and isa good prep for the upcoming championship season
