The Boys Soccer team had a great evening on Saturday night as the Eagles hosted Plymouth in the IHSAA Sectional Championship Game. With near perfect weather and near perfect precision on the pitch, the Eagles defeated the Rockies with a final score of 7-1. This is the ninth Sectional Championship for the Eagles, and third in a row. It did not take long for Adams to score, with Adams taking a very early lead and striking with its first goals in the opening minutes of the game. A trio of Eagles helped lead the team to victory. David Ascanio, Geovanni Diaz, and Azzy Navarro each had 2 goals apiece in the game. Antono Juarez scored the final goal on a penalty kick. Carlos Cubillo had 3 assists and Elias Yanes and Juarez had 1 assist each. Adams enjoyed a healthy 5-1 lead at half and then cruised to the win in the second half. Despite the one Plymouth goal, the Eagles defense held strong for the entire night. The victorious Eagles will advance to the IHSAA Regional Semifinal at Goshen on Thursday night. Adams is now 12-6-0 for the season —------------------------------------------------------------------------------ John Adams vs Plymouth IHSAA Sectional Championship Game @ Everwise School Field JA 5 2 7 P 1 0 1 A - David Ascanio A - Geovanni Diaz A - Azzy Navarro A - Navarro P - Plymouth A - Ascanio A - Diaz A - Antonio Juarez (PK)
